THE JUNCTION SIGNS NORTHERN IRELAND’S ONLY ELF CHRISTMAS EMPORIUM
~ Award-winning partners The Junction and Cahoots team up to spread Christmas magic for the third year ~
The Junction Retail & Leisure Park has announced the signing of a brand new magical store just in time for this year’s festive season. The Elf’s Christmas Emporium is set to open its only location outside of Lapland on Friday 9 December and will remain until Saturday 24 December at the Antrim retail park.
The award winning collaboration between Cahoots and The Junction returns for its fourth project after the extremely successful Elves Got Talent which took place in 2020 and 2021. Turning into a hotspot for Elf activity at Christmas time, The Junction’s favourite elves are taking up residency in the mall with an enchanting interactive theatre experience packed with festive fun and magical moments for the whole family to enjoy.
Bursting with Christmas cheer, magical mysteries and spectacular surprises, Elven Shopkeeper Theodore Stumblebumm’s lease at The Junction will feature a line-up of renowned Northern Irish creative talent with international and West End credits.
Supported by The Arts Council of Northern Ireland, the National Lottery ‘Rural Engagement Arts Programme’ and The Enkalon Foundation, the festive spectacle will also offer 1000 free tickets for older persons and young people in rural communities across the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough area to help combat loneliness and social exclusion in rural communities.
Currently undergoing shop fitout, the new Elf’s Christmas Emporium will commence on Friday 9 December where the 30-minute show will run multiple times daily until Christmas Eve with ticket prices set at just £5 per person and £15 per family of four.
Commenting on the exciting new Christmas signing, Chris Flynn, Centre Director at The Junction said:
“Over the past two years we have been overwhelmed with the demand and positive response from customers about the Elves Got Talent shows. We knew we wanted to continue our collaboration with the extremely talented team at Cahoots and are so excited to bring a brand-new theatre performance back to The Junction this Christmas, hopefully making award-winning theatre accessible for all during the cost-of-living crisis.”
Paul Bosco Mc Eneaney, Artistic Director at Cahoots added:
“We have performed Elves got Talent as both a drive in and face-to-face production over the past two years at The Junction so we are very excited to create a brand new experience for 2022 with The Elf’s Christmas Emporium, where we have some huge surprises up our sleeves to make for some incredibly memorable moments.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with The Junction once again and can’t wait to spread a little Christmas magic with our young audiences and families at this time of year.”
The Elf’s Christmas Emporium runs from Friday 9 December to Saturday 24 December. Tickets are now available to purchase via The Junction’s Eventbrite page www.thejunctionshopping.com or visit here.
