SALES SOAR AT THE BOULEVARD THIS EASTER

Northern Ireland’s premier designer outlet has reported a record Easter week of trading as shoppers soaked in the high temperatures and blue skies at The Boulevard over the holidays.

The Lotus Property owned shopping destination, welcomed a larger number of visitors to the scheme over the Easter break, with footfall on the rise by +13% compared to 2019.

The Boulevard, conveniently located on the A1 corridor between Belfast and Dublin, continues to see a high volume of visitors from both sides of the border who are splashing the cash when onsite as this Easter’s sales saw a staggering increase of +22% compared to 2019. Along with the rise in sales, The Boulevard has reported that ATV was up +24% on 2019 and the Annualised Density increased by +36% on 2019, meaning customers this year are spending even more than before when visiting.

With school out for the Easter holidays, families descended on The Boulevard in their droves for a weekend of entertainment and excitement as the mall came to life with a host of seasonal themed activities. Between hitting the shops, the little Boulevard bunnies hunted down hidden eggs throughout the mall for prizes, got up close and personal with chickens, giant rabbits and a falabella pony at Phil’s Farm and were also entertained by street theatre characters Thumper Cloudwell and The March Hare.

Chris Nelmes, Retail Director at The Boulevard said: “Our aim is always to welcome as many people as possible to The Boulevard on school holidays but also to ensure that guests are entertained, have an enjoyable experience and already begin planning their next visit before they’ve even left the car park.”

“We invested more than ever in our Easter activities this year and ensured there was an entertaining programme that stretched right across Easter week for the whole family to enjoy. With thanks to our extensive retail offering and activities available, the mall was busy all weekend with families and fashionistas alike.”

There was even more excitement onsite this Easter as Northern Ireland’s first ever kate spade new york store joined The Boulevard’s line-up, who include Molton Brown, Joules, Crew Clothing, GUESS, New Look, Kurt Geiger, Jack Wills, Next and M&S. In prime position at the entrance to the scheme, a queue of excited shoppers stretched right around the retail unit on 22 April in anticipation of the luxury fashion brand’s opening with the atmosphere full of excitement on the beautifully floral decorated mall.

With positive footfall and sales figures and a steady announcement of new store signings over the last few years, the Lotus Property owned outlet has gone from strength to strength and continues to buck the retail downturn trends being experienced elsewhere.
