Lotus purchased Havelock House in October 2023. The former UTV studio is located within the city centre area, with a site area extending to approx.. 2 acres. The site has been cleared with a planning application to be lodged imminently for purpose built social housing. Following the European design model, the scheme will extend to 104 units with a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom homes, many own door, generous private and shared amenity space and 2 storey maisonettes. Working closely with our social housing partner the development is split into 5 distinct buildings benefiting from high quality entrances, cycle parking, car parking, children’s play area and landscaped central courtyards.  Havelock House will provide much needed homes and advance Belfast City Councils agenda of increasing full time city centre residents. The property will use 100% green energy sources and SUDs measures. As a highly visible site on a key location on the Oremau road the design intent ensures this will belong within the context of adjacent buildings of architectural interest and punctuate the city centre.
